NORIKURA BASE
Forward Base for Playing in Mountains
The field is at the place 1,500 meters above sea level, facing the Northern Alps and Mt. Norikura. Norikura Base is a facility where you can experience activities and enjoy camping. You can play in the mountain: there are thrilling Adventure Park, Kids Adventure, a cycling road for mountain bikes, and a mallet golf course. There are some bases as well: Auto Campsite, a RV park, a grass square, Hoshiminooka Hill, and the like. The whole area of the Norikura Plateau, Mt. Norikura, mountains of the Northern Japan Alps and forests is your playing ground. The sky full of stars and beautiful view of the plateau that changes from season to season are waiting for you.

Adventure Park
We set treetop adventure courses that were designed to make the best use of trees in the forest and the natural feature. There are two tree adventure courses (A and B) which have 19 elements. The highest point of the courses is nine meters from the ground and their total length is 400 meters. Let’s challenge thrilling elements like zip line, log bridge, aerial bar, and so on while moving between trees! You can challenge each course only once.

for People Who want to Ride Mountain Bikes
Mountain bikes are the best choice for cruising along a cycling road spreading out in the Norikura Plateau! Regardless of whether you go up or down the road, you can afford to have fun if you use mountain bikes with gears.
We prepare five options for you to enjoy mountain bikes in Norikura BASE.
- Rental mountain bikes for people who want to run freely in the plateau.
- ＜90 minutes introduction course including a lecture and a guided tour＞ Off-road cycling tour.
- ＜90-180 minutes private course including a lecture and a guided tour＞ Family & Group Limited “Omakase” Mountain Bike Tour for.

Play at a Lake and Waterfalls!
Play in the Water of Emerald Green Reservoir and a Waterfall in the Plateau.
There are mountain streams, waterfalls, and Lake Azusa whose clean water is poured into from the Northern Japan Alps. Although water of the mountain is cold, you don’t need to worry about that if you wear wet suits! There are interesting activities people who like playing in water can’t stop experiencing such as water fall climbing that you can do only in midsummer, cruising in the reservoir by boat, and exploration to the secluded river by SUP.

Campsite in the Plateau
From two types of campsites, you can see the sky full of stars in the night. You can see Mt. Norikura that has remaining snow even in early summer. We have “Auto campsite” where you can bring your cars and set tents besides your cars. There’s a RV park as well.

At café CHILLON where you can see Mt. Norikura, you can taste soft homemade bread, soft cream made from goats’ milk Shinshu’s specialty.

Mallet Golf and Fishing
Photogenic Spot
People of all ages from small children to seniors can enjoy mallet golf at our exclusive mullet golf courses. It takes about three hours to go around the course. You can rent tools for mallet golf. Please wear comfortable clothes. If you have time, please enjoy fishing with rods we rent as well. Please enjoy fishing Japanese char and rainbow trout at Bachsee while seeing Mt. Norikura.
